Oval Services appreciate the unique nature of every building and its occupants, our free on-site consultation will establish your needs and we will then tailor a package to suit these needs with a fixed priced quotation.

Our crews have the correct blend of skills and experience providing the support you need. All staff wear relevant PPE clothing and equipment, and are fully certified in the use of the latest moving equipment. Oval Services packing teams have vast experience in carrying out the packing and unpacking of departmental filing, libraries and store areas. This would be done in sequential order by a tried and tested methodology and using specialized crates and labelling systems.

Furniture fitting.
Moving or reconfiguring systems furniture requires a coherent combination of understanding, experience and flexibility. Our staff have the required attitude and through manufacturers training also bring the necessary knowledge in a wide range of systems furniture.

Building Protection
Particular attention is always paid to ensure building interiors are fully protected prior to commencement of a move.

Marble, tiled or wooden entrance floors would have hardboard laid (the hardboard laid rough side down to avoid slippage, ends butted together and taped). The lift floor would also be protected this way. Lift interiors to be protected with Correx and hardboard sheeting (for mirrors). Lift exterior surround on each floor to be protected with Correx.
Hardboard also to be laid and taped together from department area to allocated lifts. Padded door covers to be secured around door and frame. Vulnerable pillars, to be protected with Correx sheeting. Additional requirements will have been noted by our representative in the planning stages and notified to our operatives by way of method statement.

Manpower planning for short-term porterage and support services is a key requirement of many clients.

All Oval Services’ personnel can be based at the required premises under the supervision of the clients nominated personnel or one of our Moves Managers.

Oval Services’ personnel guarantee a proactive approach at all times, and ensure full compliance to all relevant safe working practices and Health and Safety Legislation.

Oval Services can offer total flexibility in adjusting the numbers of porters required on a daily basis.

We understand that working outside normal hours is a standard requirement of most clients, and our fully uniformed staff are always available at short notice.

IT Services
All IT equipment will be individually packed in anti-static bubble bags and placed in security roll cages or computer crates. They wi8ll then be wheeled to our vehicle, loaded by hydraulic tail lift and transported in vehicles with air ride suspension.

We also offer a full decommission and recommission service. Our specialist IT team will work closely with your IT managers, giving help and advice where needed to ensure that all your requirements within this area are met with precision.

Oval Services IT staff will carry out a full desk top audit of every location, power down, disconnect, pack, transport, unpack, check against audit, reconfigure, reconnect to agreed ports and carry out power and network tests. Reporting any discrepancies back to your IT manager.

Specialist moves
Oval Services relocation experience is not just limited to office moves. Additionally we have helped to relocate hospitals, laboratories, museums, factories, colleges and universities.
Whatever the size and complexity of the project, Oval Services will guarantee a ‘seamless’ relocation process.

When working in hospitals, we realise that the relocations are likely to be taking place whilst departments are still fully functional. It is for this reason that patient care and the health and safety of members of the public as well as out own staff is paramount to all planning and preparation works.

Oval Services have a full working knowledge of Laboratory relocations, all of which have unique requirements, with varying combinations of specialist equipment, clean room environments, and bespoke items.
We also have a full understanding of the health and safety requirements and the latest legislation whilst working within laboratories, including eye protection, gloves and emergency procedures.

Oval Services have undertaken many college and university relocations and have managed the size, complexity and diversity that a university and college move environment offers. Scientific Departments including much lab equipment, libraries, kitchens and catering areas, classroom environments, halls of residence, etc.
Oval Services will plan to create zero downtime to teachers and students by ensuring that all the relocations are completed either out of hours or out of term time.

Archive Storage and Management.
Our confidential archive management service takes file storage worries off your hands - but keeps the information you need right at your fingertips. Our staff will deliver and collect files on a daily basis saving expensive office space and time. We can also supply archive cartons and carry out agreed confidential destruction.

Furniture Storage and Management.
We can store any office furniture that is not currently required. We will keep an inventory of the stock we hold for you and deliver (and assemble if necessary) as required.

Post Move Cleaning Services.
First impressions can only be given once and we at Oval Services feel that it is important for your staff to get an initial positive reaction following their move. Therefore we strongly recommend cleaning following your move. If your own contract cleaners are not available, we will be happy to offer the service.
